This report presents a brief summary about Dolcera's capabilities in working with standards, with LTE as an examplefemtocells and also focuses on its various applications. The A detailed taxonomy is presented which covers most of all the important aspects related to femtocells. A detailed landscape analysis of LTEpatent and non-patent literature is done. Also presented are examples The product information of mapping patents to standards going to major players in the detail of graphical analysismarket is also captured. Analysis The final section of IPR declarations made to ETSI, and documents uncovered by Dolcera search is the report also providedcovers the existing and future market predictions.
==Rationale=='''Dolcera Landscape Procedure'''* LTE Background study - Background study is done with web search depending on the most suited mobile technology as it provides higher data rates required for the future and is an improvement over the established GSM/EDGE/HSPA systemsarea of client interest.* LTE Finding key player/inventors - Web search is promoted by major corporates as the technology enabling future communication* The following advantages are expected carried out to be obtained with find the realization products and technologies of LTEkey players.** Reduced cost per bitPatents Search -** Increased service provisioning - more services at lower cost with better user experienceKey patents search.** Flexibility of use of existing Prepared search queries using keywords and new frequency bandsclassification and finalized these in Micropat/Thompson.*Patents Classification - Classify all patents by creating taxonomy.* Simplified architectureSpecific analysis as required by client like SWOT, Open interfacesSOA, PEST, Claim, and White Space analysis.*Reporting - * Allow for reasonable terminal * All necessary data are presented in format of wiki or in form of power consumptionpoint slides. ** Dashboard - Graphical representation of Patents classification.
==Background description=='''Key Findings'''* Qualcomm, Samsung and NEC are the major players in femtocells technology* Key patents in the femtocells are held by Ericsson, Kineto Wireless and Qualcomm.* Patenting activity has seen a very high growth rate in the last two years. * US and WO are very active in femtocell technology research.[[Image:femtconcept.gif|thumb|1200px|right|[http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/aaa_802/imsaaa11/sw-imsaaa-admin/html/Overview3.html Femtocell Access to the Core Mobile Network via Broadband Internet]]]
LTE (Long Term Evolution), is the latest standard in the mobile network technology that came into existence because of the growing needs of faster data rates. It is a 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), which realized this technology. LTE is an advancement to previously realized technologies such as GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSxPA etc. Although LTE is often marketed as 4G, first-release LTE is actually a 3.9G technology since it does not fully comply with the IMT Advanced 4G requirements.
LTE-Advanced has been granted 4G compliance given the significant improvement they provide over 3G technologies [http://www.itu.int/net/pressoffice/press_releases/2010/48.aspx]

It connects to the service provider’s network via broadband (VoIPsuch as DSL or cable) enabling better integration with other multimedia servicesand typically supports 2 to 5 mobile phones in a residential setting. LTE is being designed A femtocell allows service providers to extend service coverage inside of your home - especially where access would otherwise be a high data rate and low latency systemlimited or unavailable - without the need for expensive cellular towers. LTE is It also aimed at minimizing cost and power consumption while ensuring backward-compatibility and a cost effective migration from UMTS systemsdecreases the backhaul costs since it routes your mobile phone traffic through the IP network. ===LTE frame structure===
In order to maintain synchronization and manage different types of information exchange that need to be carried between the base-station or eNodeB and the User Equipment (UE), LTE system has a defined LTE frame and sub frame structure for the E-UTRA or Evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access
There are two types of LTE frame structure:====French Keywords===={|border="2" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4" width="100%"|width = "38" align = "center" bgcolor = "#4F81BD" rowspan = "2"|<font color="#FFFFFF">'''S. ==MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output)==

Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technologies introduced in LTE such as spatial multiplexing, transmit diversity, and beamforming are key components for providing higher peak rate at a better system efficiency, which are essential for supporting future broadband data service over wireless links.In Long Term Evolution (LTE), MIMO technologies have been widely used to improve downlink peak rate, cell coverage, as well as average cell throughput.

To achieve this diverse set of objectives, LTE adopted various MIMO technologies including transmit diversity, single user (SU)-MIMO, multiuser (MU)-MIMO, closed-loop rank-1 precoding, and dedicated beamforming. [http://www.hindawi.com/journals/wcn/2009/302092.html MIMO in LTE]
