Artificial Intelligence is the top player in society disruptive technologies. It has been more than 60 years since the term \u2018Artificial Intelligence\u2019 was coined.<\/p>\n

It has established its roots in every field. We can find A \u2013 Z uses of AI<\/a>. This leads to a question of how AI is going to influence society in further decades.<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, AI will change society in many good ways. But at the same time, many intellectuals argue that intelligence increases to a level of overcoming mankind resulting in technology singularity. It rises into a hypothetical situation when the growth becomes irreversible and ungovernable. It results in impenetrable changes to the human race.<\/p>\n

Ray Kurzweil, an American inventor and futurist says that <\/em>the singularity will happen by 2045<\/em><\/a>. Director of MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Patrick Winston also states that the singularity would happen in 2040.<\/em><\/p>\n

The power of artificial intelligence is \u201cso incredible, it will change society in some very deep ways,\u201d said billionaire\u00a0Microsoft\u00a0co-founder\u00a0<\/em>Bill Gates<\/em><\/a>. <\/em>Some ways will be good, some bad, according to Gates.<\/em><\/p>\n

I think we should be very careful about artificial intelligence.With artificial intelligence we are summoning the demon. In all those stories where there\u2019s the guy with the pentagram and the holy water, it\u2019s like yeah he\u2019s sure he can control the demon. Didn\u2019t work out\u00a0says Elon Musk<\/em><\/p>\n

One of the major problems can be powerful than nuclear weapon. Employment of humans can be a huge decrease in various fields. This ultimately leads to unequal economic society. Also, there will be an exponential decrease in humanity (interaction and behavior). The proliferation of armed drones can become a serious threat.<\/p>\n

Let us consider an instance, visualize an AI system that is set to eradicate AIDS in the planet. After an immense of computing, it finds out a solution that brings about the end of AIDS \u2013 by slaying everyone on the globe. Sure the AI would have achieved its goal of “no more AIDS” very efficiently, but not in the way we intended it.<\/p>\n

The above-stated instance may include sarcasm but supposing it turns into reality. A big worry!!<\/p>\n

This proves that there is a need for \u2018Ethics of Artificial Intelligence<\/a>\u2019 to be strictly followed for the harmony of the society. It defines a policy statement stating the role of\u00a0artificial intelligence\u00a0as it applies to the continued development of the human race.
